On May 16, 2013, at Issue Project Room in Brooklyn, New York City, ELNYA (Emerging Leaders of New York Arts), a program of Arts & Business Council of New York, in collaboration with World Policy Institute, organized a panel titled State of the Arts Ecosystem.
The panel was convened to discuss funding policy for the arts. The panelists were:
Caron Atlas, Director, Arts & Democracy Project;
Jamie Bennett, Chief of Staff and Director of Public Affairs at the National Endowment for the Arts;
Paul Nagle, Executive Director of CSI (Cultural Strategies Initiative);
Edwin Torres, Associate Director at The Rockefeller Foundation; and
Jacqueline Davis, moderator, Executive Director of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.
