Roger Linn’s LinnStrument

Roger Linn is a legendary designer in the early days of electronic music. In 1980, he revolutionized the world of electronic musical instruments with the release of the LM-1 Drum Computer, the world's first drum machine to use digital samples.

Since then he has developed many instruments, the most recent the LinnStrument, an expressive MIDI controller for musical performance. Unlike the simple on/off switches of a standard MIDI keyboard, LinnStrument's RGB-backlit notepads sense each finger's subtle movement, which enables a performer to achieve musical expression rivaling that of fine acoustic instruments.
