Call for research residency
IRCAM's Artistic Research Residency, is a collaborative and interactive environment with seminars, work groups, and more; a role in a scientific team; proximity with the production and education departments enabling continual passages back and forth from creation to transmission to experimentation to research. The objective of the residency depends on the nature of the project and can range from the production of sketches to a new solfege, an experimental performance, writing articles, creation of technology, to the invention of a new language.

IRCAM's Music Doctorate, is organized in collaboration by Sorbonne Universités, l'Université Paris-Sorbonne, l'Université Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC), and IRCAM. It is intended for high-level composers, holders of a Master’s degree (or of an equivalent diploma accompanied with significant experience in composition), proposing in particular projects integrating a technological dimension into the work of composition and wanting to pursue a training program both as composers and researchers. The diploma attests to the competence both as composer (attested by the works produced at the end of studies) and as a researcher via the presentation of a thesis.
