It’s coming soon and you can pre-order it right now!
Black Country, New Road will soon be back with their sophomore release Ants From Up There and from what we’ve already heard, it’s going to be a big deal.
It’s a follow up to one of 2021’s finest slabs of vinyl, For The First Time.
That was an album so packed with influences from post-punk, spoken-word to jazz to metal and so much more that it should never have worked at all but it does and so, so well.
In fact, it’s fair to say that no matter how long the songs ran, we were sat around in awe of the band’s ability to merge everything into a coherent and gnarly masterpiece!
The first single from Ants From Up There arrived this week in the form of Chaos Space Marine and it suggests a slightly different direction.
At just under four minutes long, it still encompasses a huge range of influences but it’s tighter and more frenetic.
We think that a pre-order is a guarantee of a great release day. Get one now before the limited editions are all gone.

The first time Nicholas went to a live gig, 31 years ago, it turned out to be an Iron Maiden secret gig and he became hooked on the music scene. He was one of the founding writers for Astro Zombie a heavy metal and new world techno-inspired zine and his interview with Rob Caggiano of Anthrax brought in over 300,000 readers. He’s based out of Southeast Asia now, but his love of music is as strong and diverse as ever.
